When was Fatwa (Jurisprudence Verdict) Website established?

Background

Juridical Verdict Website was established in 2018. It is a jurisprudence website that was launched by the Faculty of Shari’ah in An-Najah National University in cooperation with the Palestinian Jurisprudence Verdict House. Its main objective is to answer all questions which are sent. Such questions are answered by well-qualified and competent scholars who are well-versed in the field depending on the considerable sources: the Holy Qur’an, the honorable Sunnah, the prophet’s companions’ sayings and the Muslim scholars’ opinion. 

 

Objectives of Fatwa Website: 

• Establishing communication between An-Najah University and the local community as well as extending bridges of communication between the university and Muslims from all over the world
• Eliminating misleading conceptions which have recently spread which in turn show a distorted image about Islam so and so working to fight fanaticism
• Ensuring accuracy, authenticity, originality and objectivity when answering questions depending on religious sources and taking into consideration the probable results of such an answer without irrelevant redundancy
• Raising awareness towards centrism and adopting it as the main way of communication between Muslims themselves and between Muslims and others
• Illustrating the real image of Islam and proving that Islam is not a fanatic religion
• Religious totalitarianism that Islam has when dealing with proposed issues and questions and solving them in a scientific way
• Dealing with much care with the questions which result from contemporary issues to give a clear ruling about them and getting along with changeable issues
