In the United Stated and in many other European countries, the sight of the new moon could be difficult. However, advanced technology and astronomical calculations can help in determining the days on which the new moon emerges. Can we adopt the opinion of these countries although they are not Islamic, taking into consideration that in most cases, their calculations are correct? I would like to add that in most cases, when Muslims who live in those countries adopt the opinions of eastern Islamic countries, many conflicts arise especially when it is related to compensation and the days of Eid al

Praise Be to Allah and Peace Be Upon His Messenger.

The emergence of the new moon should be the reference. Astronomical calculations can also help. Once the new moon is seen in any country, Muslims who live in that country should fast (we talk about the month of Ramadan) regardless of what is happening in other countries.
