What is the ruling if a family who is financially supported by the father rejects the earning of the father who works in selling wine, pork and so on, but they do not have any other way to earn a living?
Answer
Praise Be to Allah and Peace Be Upon His Messenger.
The wife and the children of a man who works in selling wine and pork can eat from what he brings as this is their only way to live. As long as they cannot afford another way of earning, they can eat; however, they have to keep convincing him to change his job to earn halal money.
