What is the ruling when the person performing the sacrifice mistakenly mentions the wrong name
Answer
If a person appoints someone else to perform the udhiyah (Sacrifice) on their behalf and the representative mistakenly mentions the wrong name at the time of slaughter, this does not affect the validity of the udhiyah. Allah knows for whom the sacrifice was intended, and many scholars do not require the person’s name to be mentioned, considering the intention of the person offering the udhiyah sufficient.
