Question
Reference number: 982289 | Fasting |
Every year, this frequent question keeps arising. Is it allowed to fast the six days of Shawwal before compensating the days which are missed during Ramadan?
Answer
Praise Be to Allah and Peace Be Upon His Messenger.
The most appropriate deed is to make up the missing days firstly and then fast the six days of Shawwal; nevertheless, if a Muslim fasts the six days of Shawwal, it is acceptable depending on what is narrated about ‘Aisha RRA who was known that she used to delay compensation till Sha’ban.
