If a husband recommends that his wife shall be divorced once he dies, will the divorce be valid then, even after years of his will?
Answer
Praise Be to Allah and Peace Be Upon His Messenger.
The divorce that is in a will is not considered to be valid. This is because it is postponed till the death of the husband, and thus, it is not announced clearly from the husband, and it does not take a place during the life of the husband. Even if this will is written, it is still invalid. There is no consequent ruling on this will.
