What is the Islamic ruling on saying “Jumu‘ah Mubarak” (Blessed Friday) on Fridays? Is it sinful?
Answer
There is nothing wrong with saying “Jumu‘ah Mubarak” if the intention is to pray for blessings and goodness, provided that the speaker does not believe it to be an established Sunnah or a specific act of worship associated with Friday.
There is no sin in saying it out of love for Friday and as a supplication for Muslims, as long as one does not believe it to be an established Sunnah or consider it obligatory for people to say it.
And Allah, the Exalted, knows best.
