What Is the Islamic Ruling on Using Retinol Cream to Remove or Reduce Wrinkles?

Praise be to Allah, and may peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, and all his Companions.
The general principle is that using topical creams intended for skincare and wrinkle reduction, including retinol, is permissible, provided that their use is safe, does not cause evident harm, and does not involve permanently altering Allah’s creation.
However, if medical evidence establishes that the cream causes harm or severe skin irritation, its use is impermissible in order to prevent harm.
